Zunheboto District celebrated Republic Day at Local Ground Zunheboto with Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

On arrival, the chief guest unfurled the national flag and inspected the parade, and read out the Republic Day speech.

Greeting the people on the occasion of Republic Day the chief guest said that we should remember with gratitude the enormous efforts and sacrifices of millions of freedom fighters whose blood and sweat gave us independence and created our Republic. Special songs were presented by Kinitoli and Mughasheli and Natha Old Totimi. The special guest later inaugurated the exhibition stalls. Altogether there were eight parade contingents.
