Phek District headquarter celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA, 19 A/C Phek, Govt. of Nagaland as the Special Guest.

He unfurled the National flag and took Rashtriya Salute and inspected the Parade Contingents from 38 Assam Rifles Phek, DEF Phek, 5th NAP Bn. Phek and Home Guards. Special Guest also delivered the Republic day speech and also facilitated local champions   under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Phek.

He also inaugurated exhibition stalls put up by various departments like Agriculture, DRDA, Land Resources, ATMA, Horticulture, Fishery, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, District Legal Services Authority, Tilaho Fast Food and NGOs.

In the meantime, visitation of homes was also visited district jail from Post Office & NSCB, Phek and District Hospital by SBI & NABARD, Phek.

In the evening program the departmental penalty shoot-out and beating retreat by 38 Assam Rifles, Phek. It may be recalled hundreds of people throng out the celebration.
