Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS issued an order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The following resolutions have been imposed in the district with immediate effect up till the 15th February, 2022:
1. All the existing restrictions in the district for preventing the spread of COVID-19 as issued in the earlier order, including those of social /religious /political /sports /academic /cultural /entertainment gatherings etc. shall continue.
2. The offline or physical classes for students of class 1 to VIII is allowed from 15th February, 2022 subject to parental consent of the student concerned, and further subject to fulfillment of the conditions and standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be issued by the Home Department.
3. The Board Examination for Class 10 and Class 12 conducted physically/offline by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) shall be allowed as per the examination schedule to be decided by it in the month of March, 2022 subject to the fulfillment of the conditions and SOPs to be issued by the Home Department. Suitable arrangements should also be made for the students who are unable to appear for the examination on account of being tested positive for COVID-19 or who are symptomatic.
Any person/group found acting in violation of the above directions as well as other orders/SOPs/guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19 shall be liable to be prosecuted under the relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides action under Section 188 of IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.
