Chief Secretary of Nagaland, J. Alam, IAS, chaired a comprehensive review meeting to discuss the implementation of the Amrit Kalash (Meri Mati Mera Desh) campaign. The meeting took place at the Chief Secretary's Conference Hall in Kohima on September 14, 2023.

Chief Secretary Alam emphasized the vital role of active participation by citizens across the state in the campaign. He directed the District Administrations to collaborate with village councils and ensure proper documentation of campaign activities through photographs, which should be uploaded on official websites. Additionally, he instructed the DCs to organize culturally relevant programs suited to the local environment.

During the meeting, Chief Secretary Alam also discussed various aspects of the campaign with DCs and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) through video conferencing.

Home Commissioner Abijit Sinha, IAS, highlighted the new instructions and timeline provided by the Central Government for the Amrit Kalash campaign. He mentioned that, according to the new guidelines, soil and rice have to be collected from every household in every village at the village level. At the block level, activities will include felicitation of brave individuals and organizing cultural programs with active participation from the Administration, village councils, youth, and a special emphasis on women's participation. 

He informed that Amrit Kalash from all blocks of the state will be collected at a designated location in the State capital. Youth volunteers will collect soil from various locations to be transported to Kartavya Path, New Delhi, where the final event will be held.

The campaign schedule involves village-level programs from September 1 to 30, block-level programs from October 1 to 13, state-level programs in the capital from October 22 to 27, and national-level programs from October 28 to 30, 2023.

Several departments, including IPR, Urban Development, RD, YRS, and Social Welfare, were represented at the meeting, with DCs participating via video conference.
