A review meeting of Centrally sponsored schemes under the Chairmanship of Secretary (DA&FW), GOI Manoj Ahuja IAS was held at Central Institute of Horticulture Medziphema on 12th November 2022, in collaboration with CIH Nagaland.

The review meeting discussed schemes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare in eight (8) North Eastern regions.

There was a presentation and discussion state-wise accordingly. In this review meeting, discussion on the financial status of crops, the problems and issues faced and the requirements needed for major achievements projects. Suggestion for projects was also put forward. Action plan to improve the implementation programme. The status of progress and issues of major schemes were discussed, along with the major constraints faced in reaching the target. Issues faced due to the non-availability of sufficient seedlings in a state like Mizoram were also talked and poor road connectivity hindering the progress in achieving the target was discussed. The review meeting today discussed in detail the issues and challenges faced by the 8 North-Eastern states-State wise namely Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Earlier, exhibition stalls were inaugurated by Secretary (DA&FW), GOI Manoj Ahuja IAS. The stalls were set up by 1) Punglwa-B village Women Livelihood CSS, Nagaland. 2) Changsu Organic Kiwi producers company. 3) Agri Department Government of Nagaland. 4) ICAR Nagaland and KVK Dimapur. 5) Nagaland Bee Keeping Honey Mission 6) Horticulture Department, Government of Nagaland. 7) Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency. 8) Molsang Organic Pineapple Producers Company Ltd.

The programme was attended by Additional Secretaries, Secretary Commissioners from the Ministry of Agriculture, Officials, and Agri officials from all North Eastern Regions.
