A review meeting of Bhandari Block Task Force on Novel Corona virus (Covid-19) was held at the conference hall of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhandari, on 1st April 2020.

Discussing on issues relating to the outbreak of the virus, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhandari Tiameren Chang said that efforts to prevent entry or spread of the pandemic into the sub division will be stepped up and called on everyone concerned to continue to cooperate without fail. He also appealed for systematic coordination between medical, police and administration departments to deliver effective service to the public.

ADC also informed that required basic materials at the quarantine wards will be purchased and provided by the BTF for the time being. In the meeting the task force also decided to intensify preventive measures in its fight against the pandemic.

Stricter ways of manning the police check gate, Bhandari where a major highway passes through from Merapani to Wokha, screening of people entering from outside, disinfecting vehicles carrying essential commodities, movement of public during the 21 day lockdown and maintaining social distancing while purchasing essential goods, etc were also discussed in the meeting.
