Briefing media persons at the NLA Secretariat on 27th March 2023, Chief Minister and Minister-in-Charge, Finance, Neiphiu Rio termed the 2023-24 budget a balanced budget. He said that the budget gives huge emphasis on agri and allied sector.

While highlighting on the 2023-24 budget, Rio also shared on various issues faced by sectors making losses. He stated that the State Government has being taking austerity measures to improve the financial position of the Government. The Chief Minister said there has been improvement in the financial position of the State Government and hoped that it will continue to improve.
