Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Social Welfare & Administrator, NSSWB, Sarah R. Ritse inaugurated the new Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) building on 26th October 2021 at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital premises, Wokha.
While addressing during the inaugural function, Ritse stated that the day is an era of convergence and an era of coordination, and called for departments to coordinate and work together in order to see the good result where by people gets the benefit. She also congratulated Wokha district for successfully launching the sub-centre and thanked all concerned involved for the successful completion of the building.
Ritse lauded Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Orenthung Lotha for all the support and effort he has being giving to the team and making Wokha One Stop Centre one of the best in the state. She also appealed to all the civil societies, especially the churches and Eloe Hoho team, to support and encourage the One Stop Centre team to enable them function well and cater to the needs of the people who are in need of help at times of distress.
State Coordinator for State Resource Centre for Women, Nodal Agency for Sakhi-OSC, Gracy Aye who also spoke during the function lauded the Wokha OSC team for the wonderful works they have been doing for the welfare of the needy people, she also encouraged the people (Children and women) in need of help to come forward and register their case so that their problems are addressed accordingly. She called for support from all sections so that OSC activities can be strengthened and can reach out to the people and help children and women in distress.
EAC, Wokha Aloto Sohe chaired the function while Deputy Commissioner proposed the welcome address. The building was constructed at the cost of Rs. 48.69 lakhs with a total plinth area of 1421 sqft. Centre Administrator Sakhi-OSC, Wokha, Renthunglo presented the interventions and works the centre has undertaken during the past two years.
