The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), in collaboration with the District Administration Niuland, organised an awareness program on Sexual and Reproductive Health for students of Government High School, Nito (Nikhekhu village) on 5th September 2025 as part of the ongoing 10-day special awareness campaign under the Sankalp initiative.
V. Vily Chophy, District Mission Coordinator, highlighted Mission Shakti initiatives and emphasised women's empowerment while Ilolika, Data Entry Operator, delivered a thematic talk on menstrual hygiene, raising awareness about reproductive health.
Sanitary pads were also distributed to promote menstrual hygiene and dignity. This initiative aims to educate and empower young people, particularly girls, on critical health issues.
The campaign running from 2nd -12th September 2025, promotes awareness, respect and inclusivity. The District Administration Niuland, DHEW, and HEW reiterate their commitment to women's empowerment and health through such initiatives.
