The Directorate of School Education has notified for the information of all concerned that in pursuance to the decision taken by the Government to reduce 20% of the syllabus for classes 1 to 8 in consideration of COVID-19 pandemic, SCERT, Nagaland has reduced the contents in the subjects English Reader, English Grammar, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, Hindi, Life Skill Education and Nagaland Heritage Studies for classes 1 to 7.

All concerned have been directed to take note that the reduced syllabus prepared by SCERT contains subjects of class 8 as well.  But, in regards to content reduction for class 8, schools shall follow content reductions notified by Nagaland Board of School Education vide Letter Nos. NBE-3/Ad-TB(10) 2020/567 Dated, 22nd May 2020 and NBE-30/Ad-VIII 2020-21/569 Dated, 23rd  May 2020. 

Copies of the Revised Syllabus can be downloaded from department’s website ‘https://education.nagaland.gov.in/’ and the revised syllabus comes into force with immediate effect.
