The Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Jakhama, Ruopfukuotuo Nuodi, in a notification order No. MISC/JKM/2021-22 dated 30th May 2022 stated that whereas complaints were received against individuals carrying out fresh constructions/excavation works along the highway for haphazard dumping of mud/stone debris thereby causing blockage of drainage resulting in surface water run-off on the highway.

Now therefore in the interest of public safety and to prevent further deterioration of the national highway and to facilitate the ongoing construction works carried out by the NHIDCL/ Fortune group, the following guidelines are issued for strict compliance by all concerned:

1)      All car servicing centres and stone quarries operating along the highway are required to ensure proper drainage to regulate the flow of water and proper disposal of water and material waste.

2)      Proper material covering/shield should be erected by all car servicing centres/stone quarries to avoid any nuisance to the public/vehicles plying on the highway 3) Individuals carrying out any excavation/construction works along the highway should ensure proper disposal of mud/stone debris. All blocked/chocked drains should be totally cleared within five (5) days from the date of issue of this order.

 

Non-compliance with the above regulations will invite punitive action which will entail cancellation of trade permit and restrictions on any further business activity.
