A seminar on Modern Bee Keeping was held at Vebazu Runguzu Nasa Village, Phek on 16th March, 2021 under the theme “Modem technique and update training on beekeeping and its healthy Products”. The programme was organized by Zanubu Hill Development Organization, Vebazu Runguzu Village, Phek District and sponsored by (DHO) District Horticulture Officer Phek.

            The Programme was chaired by Senkalemba, District Horticulture Officer, Phek while Phek Bee Professional AICRP (HB&P) SASRD, NU, Ngukho Yalietsu acted as interpreter during the programme.

            Resource persons, Principal Investigator AICRP (HB&P), ICAR Prof. and Head of Department Entomology, SASRD NU, Medziphema Campus, Dr. H.K. Singh highlighted the importance of modern techniques and update training of Beekeeping in Nagaland and India and Scientist, AICRP (HB &P) Department of Entomology SASRD NU Medziphema, Dr. Avinash Chauhan, emphasized on quality control of bees and honey productions and importance of hygienic and unhygienic honey.

            The beekeepers also had an interaction with the resource persons. 20 beekeepers and farmers from Chozuba and Chetheba area participated in the programme.
