Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) on “Piggery Rearing & Management” was organized by ATMA Kohima, in association with State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) Nagaland & National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) under Sub-Mission on Agriculture Extension (SMAE) of National Mission on Agricultural Extension Technology (NMAET) of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, India from 4th - 9th October 2021 at DAO conference hall Kohima.
Resource persons for the training programme were Dy. Director, CVO, Kohima, Dr. Ketholenuo Metha, BTM Tseminyu Block, Dr.Vibeilie Keretsu and Dy.PD (ATMA), Kohima, Dr. Keviu Shuya. Some of the topics covered were Introduction on Piggery, Types of Pig breeds, Piggery rearing Management, Piggery Feeds management, records and economics of pug rearing and improved technology. Review and interactions were done for the participants and certificates were distributed at the end of the training.
The programme was chaired by Dy.PD (ATMA), Kohima, Rokoshuno Angela while vote of thanks was pronounced by ATM ATMA Kohima Block, Rokuotuono Phira. Certificates were distributed to the participants. Altogether 18 youths benefited from the training.
