A short programme for distribution of Sports kits was held on 12th August 2022 at DC’s Office Complex, Noklak.
Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru while encouraging the participants of the forth coming Nagaland Olympic, stated that being the ambassadors of Noklak district, they should behave well and set a good example to the other fellow participants. The DC advised the players to take sports as a career in life. Discipline and patience are very important aspects of sportsmanship and encouraged them to exhibit true sporting spirit. Meru added that funds are being provided by the Nagaland Olympic Association for meeting the requirements. On behalf of the District administration, the DC wished the team the best for the competition.
Secretary General, Khiamniungan Sport Council, Er. Ngou pointed out that, 77 (seventy-seven) players and 16 (sixteen) officials will be representing the district in the forthcoming Nagaland Olympic. Football, Badminton, Athletics, Archery, Wushu and Taekwondo are the disciplines in which the participants will be competing, he added.
