In the Occasion of Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas, a State level debate competition on the theme, “Tribal Freedom Fighter” was held at the CHSS Covenant Hall, Dimapur on 17th November 2023.

The debate competition was held on the topics of Ownership and Transfer of Land and its Resources under Article 371(A). Students from Little Star School, Holy Cross School, Mission School and Christian Higher Secondary School took part in the competition.

Liang Yanna, Class 10 of Little Star Higher Secondary School bagged the first prize while Rongsennangba, Class 12 of Little Star Higher Secondary School and Avilhu Meyase, Class 12 of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School won the second and third prize respectively.

The event was graced by Secretary Tribal Affairs, Angelina Tajen and Director Tribal Affairs, I. Sino Phom.

The programme was organised by the Department of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
