State Level Literary Competition was held at the multipurpose hall 'A', IG Stadium Kohima on 27th May 2022 with Secretary, Youth Resources & Sports, Wezope Kenye, IAS as the special guest.

While delivering his speech, Kenye said that illiteracy is not a social or cultural defect and it is a solvable problem. Literacy is a necessary tool to break harsh social cycles. He also said that the main purpose of celebrating the day was to bring awareness about literacy so that everyone knows about their individual and social rights. Kenye further mentioned that literacy has become an important factor in leading a good life in the contemporary age. He requested the participants to use their gift of knowledge in making the world a better place and to celebrate their abilities.

The first prize was bagged by Angel Roukhau(Kohima), the second prize by Rongsenienla (Mokokchung), and the third prize by Tsukholü Therie (Phek).

The judges for the essay competition were Project Director, TaFMA Dr. Hovithal Sothu, Asst. Prof. Dept. Of English, Kohima College, Theyiesinuo Keditsu, and Asst. Prof. Dept. Of Botany, Kohima Science College, Moaakum Kichu. The programme was chaired by Deputy Director, DYRS, Jakedovo Chase.
