On the occasion of Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas 2023 Tribal Research Institute (TRI) Nagaland under the Tribal Affairs department, Government of Nagaland organised various activities to commemorate tribal freedom fighters. A state level tug of war and tribal cuisine competition was held at the Garden, Kohima on 21st November 2023.

            In the Tug-of war competition the mighty Chakhesang tribe bagged the first prize while Kachari and Rengma tribes won the second and third prize respectively.

In the Tribal Cuisine Competition, Ao tribe stood first position while Tikhir and Rengma tribes bagged second and third position.
