Along with the rest of the districts, the mock drill was conducted at Longleng Local ground from 9 am to 1:30 pm.

The siren alarm was sounded at 9 am followed by the Responsible Officer (RO) instructing the Incident Commander to take stock of the situation. The IC reports back to the RO after gathering reports about the damages and casualties from the wards and villages.

The Incident Response Team (IRT) arrives and reports the RO. The RO briefed the team leaders and the IRT rushed to the staging area. The Strike Team along with response operation resources from various sources gathered at the staging site. The logistics section took note of the available resources and reported the matter to the IC.

After necessary arrangements strike team was formed and IC instructed the ST. After a final briefing by the IC, the Operation Section Chief (OSC) deployed the strike team along with the medical team for rescue operations at two locations. The strike team swung into action and rescued the victims and casualties to the staging areas where first medical aid was provided to the injured. 

The strike team later proceed to the final location forming a Combined Rescue Operation. The rescue operation was completed and reported back to the staging area.

After completing the rescue operation media briefing was done by RO followed by comments from the observers Dr. Henshet, Vice Principal, Yingli College. Later the IC ordered for demobilization of all resources at the staging area.

In his concluding remarks, the DC & RO Dharam Raj IAS thanked all the HoDs and participating teams from various agencies for completing the mock exercise as per the IRS of the district. He informed that the mock exercise is to keep themselves prepared to face the actual eventuality and urged the participants to keep on performing for improvement and awareness with the available resources to respond to any disaster at any time.
