The apex Sumi tribe body, SumiHoho held its general conference on 2nd July 2021 at town hall,Zunheboto and reconstituted a new team of leaders headed by NikhetoZhimo as its president, Dr VihutoAsumi as gen/secy and other nominated members from different Sumi inhabited areas as Sumihoho office bearers and executive members for the tenure 2021-2024.

           Convenor of the Sumi Migration Committee, Dr HokisheYepthomi, highlighting onthe book launch said that, the committee started its venture of accumulation of data from the year 2014 under the president ship of HovisheArkha and added that the book was written as per the reports collected from the village head of different villages.

Minister for Agriculture, G Kaito Aye lauded the ZunhebotoMedical Department for tirelessly working and having achieved the highest number of vaccinated individuals in Nagaland and said that it was the only weapon to fight against the COVID-19 virus and appealed the leaders from various areas to act as an instrument to clear false speculations among the citizens. The Minister also launched the Sumi Migration book during the programme.

Principal Secretary, Urban Development and President, Sumi Officers’Union Nagaland, HimatoZhimomi, called upon the leaders of all areas to give detailed road map of its own village and submit it to SumiHoho, then to legislatures and from that way, road map to every village will be in the knowledge of all Sumi creating clearer knowledge for the upcoming generation. Zhimomi donated a laptop and a PC to begin their work towards betterment of the Sumis.

Outgoing President,HekhusheShikhu delivered the presidential address, consecration of old and new members was done by Pastor, ZTSBC, Rev. Dr. Daniel Chishi.
