In a remarkable initiative towards a cleaner and greener India, the fortnight-long Swachhata Hi Seva with the theme ‘Garbage Free India’ campaign was organised by Naga Swachhata Warriors at Pungro Town on 16th September 2023. It was launched by EAC Pungro, Yithachu Thur.
Addressing the gathering, EAC Pungro, Yitachu Thur emphasized the crucial role each citizen plays in achieving the goal of a cleaner India. He remarked that the campaign's success hinges on collective efforts, starting from homes, classrooms, and shops. Students and teachers from seven different schools participated in this ‘Garbage Free India’ campaign. The schools competed enthusiastically in the campaign where Government Primary School (GPS) emerging as the winners. The participants also took a pledged to uphold cleanliness and dedicate their time to this cause, refraining from littering and prevent others from doing so.
