Tening Village Council (TVC) chairman, Palengkengbo, Tening Students Union (TSU) President, Ngauphutlak, Tening Village Women Organization (TVWO), Akhenge and Tening Village Youth Organization (TVYO), Mathiusung in a joint statement extended their appreciation and happiness towards the State Government, particularly the School Education Department for upgradating the Government High School, Tening to Government Higher Secondary School.

The organizations jointly expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, Advisor, School Education, K.T.Sukhalu and Advisor, Water Resources, Namri Nchang for their discerning noble gesture in gratifying the long felt of the people in the area.

The four organizations further stated that, the upgradation will uplift the spirit of the economically weaker parents who in turn faces mounting task while affording their children's higher education.
