Heads of Offices under Tening Sub-division held a meeting at ADC Office Tening with Liangmai Council and its working committee to deliberate on the forthcoming Chaga Gadi festival & Langsimngyi Cum Mini hornbill festival which is to be held on 30th-31st October 2022.

At the outset, ADC welcomed all the members present in the meeting and also gave brief highlights on the mini hornbill festival and said that the festival is involved by state agency and an organizing committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner of the district.

After thorough deliberations, work distribution for all the government departments was decided unanimously by the organizing committee members.

PWD departments were assigned to repair roads starting from zero point till Tening Town Hall, the Power department to provide facilities and provision street lighting from high school junction till festival venue, police to maintain law and order during the celebration period, IPR for media coverage and sound system, PHE for temporary water supply connections. The Agri department, Hort department, Bank, Art & Culture were entrusted with the construction of stalls, and sanitation and waste disposal were given to the COLA committee to keep the festival venue clean.

The house also discussed and decided to provide quality accommodation to tourists, visitors, and other VIPs. In this regard, the members decided to approach and requested various church council Guest houses, school buildings, hostels, and other guest houses for accommodation purposes.

The house also decided to request CMO to provide a medical facility for the medical camp on the last day.
