In view of the decision of the NPF Legislature Party to join the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Government, Commissioner & Secretary NLA, Dr. P.J. Antony has informed that the Chief Minister and the Leader of the UDA has decided to designate T.R. Zeliang as the NPF Legislature Party Leader in the Assembly. In that capacity, he will hold the status and rank of a Cabinet Minister, enjoying all the attendant facilities.
