Leader of Opposition, T.R Zeliang visited Lamhainamdi Village under Peren District on 5th April, 2021 and paid homage at the burial ground of the three persons who were mercilessly killed by unknown armed assailants on the fateful evening of 22nd March, 2021. A short prayer was also pronounced by Rev. Kuzierang Thou. 

            T.R Zeliang stated that the merciless and inhumane massacre of three innocent lives at Lamhainamdi Village is a challenge to the Nagas as well as the District Administration and Security Personnel of Peren District. He encouraged the people to retrospect on the history of the village, strongly uphold their rights and stand for it.

            Stating that it is the responsibility of everyone to nab the right culprit, he called upon the gathering regardless of their political affiliations and denominations to come forward and work unitedly and effectively with the Administration and Police Personnel in order to ensure that the culprits be arrested at the earliest. He expressed confidence that the culprits will be given stringent punishment while expressing pain and grief with the three bereaved families.

            The Leader of Opposition was accompanied by District Administration, Police Personnel, Civil Societies of Peren District.
