ATMA Tseminyu district, Chunlikha block conducted a training programme on different application methods of tricoderma on summer vegetable crops on April 12, 2022 at Chunlikha village. The training was conducted by ATM, Kebegi Kent. She taught the farmers what trichoderma is and how it can benefit them in controlling various fungal diseases and promote them crops. She also taught them the various application methods and dosage of the bio-control agent. Trichoderma are free living fungi that are highly interactive in root, soil and foliar environment can parasitize other fungi. They have been gaining momentum as an important biocontrol agent in control of plant diseases in recent times due to its eco-friendly nature, minimizes the use of chemical, giving more cheaply and efficient disease control method. 

The use of this bio-control agent not only fights diseases but also enhances the growth of the plants. It can be used either dry or wet formulation or slurry. It is used in seed treatment, nursery treatment, seedling root dip and foliar application. For seed treatment 5 grams of trichoderma is mixed with 1 kg seeds, air dried for half hour and is ready to be sowed. For seedling root dip 10-20 grams of trichoderma is mixed well in 1 litre of water and the roots of the seedlings are dip in the solution for 15 minutes, shade dried for 15 minutes and then transplanted.
