Training on low-cost preservation unit under the centrally sponsored scheme Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) was organised by the Department of Horticulture Longleng on 22nd February 2022, where 20 beneficiaries from different villages under the Longleng district attended.

The technical staff illustrated the importance of post-harvest technology with special reference to horticultural produces readily available in the district.

Preservation components including pulverizing machine, bottles and other packaging materials, sealing machine, weighing balance, etc. were distributed to the beneficiaries. A hands-on demonstration of the operation of those units was also done.
