Blowing of horn which is known as Thütsükhü Kümütsü, is derived from the Chakhesang dialect. The horn is a sound device that is usually made of or shaped like an animal horn, arranged to blow from a hole in the pointed end of it. This rudimentary device used to have variety of functions in the Naga society, however, its common usage is usually during the celebrations and signal alertness in times of impending danger.

This competition is held to revive this dying practice and create an awareness amongst the present generation.
