The Tseminyu District Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) held its meeting on 29th June 2026 at DC’s Conference Hall, Tseminyu with Nagaland MP Lok Sabha & Chairman DISHA, S. Supongmeren Jamir, Ex-MLA & State DISHA member, Medokul Sophie and Chairman DPDB Tseminyu, Ar. Jwenga Seb.

Speaking at the DISHA meeting, Supongmeren said the meeting is not to target any individual but to freely discuss the departmental development activities with the department’s officers and share the success and challenges faced by the department in implementing the schemes and projects in the district.

The meeting discussed on the current development activities of various departments implementing in Tseminyu district. The PowerPoint presentation was presented by Sentimengla Pongener (DPO), Social Welfare Department; Dr. Kenalo Kath (CVO), Animals Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department, Tseminyu, and a representative from Agriculture Department.

The program was chaired by DC Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, NCS and the welcome address was delivered by Ar. Jwenga Seb, MLA & Chairman DPDB, Tseminyu.

The DISHA meeting was followed by the DPDB meeting, where the board review the last meeting minutes, and discussed the agenda for establishment of Rengma Cultural Complex at Khwenphen. The proposal was submitted by the Semkash Women Society, Tseminyu. The board deliberately discussed and agreed to recommend and forward the matter to the government for consideration.

The board also examined the application for Grant -in-aid for Baptist Higher Secondary School, Tseminyu. After it was observed that the school has been generating very good results, the board decided to forward the proposal for grant in-aid to the school as reflected in the report of the SDEO, Tseminyu.

The meeting concluded with words of gratitude from DC Tseminyu, Japheth Woch (NCS).
