Tuensang District Skill Committee held its meeting at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang on 23rd September 2022.
Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant remarked that employment in the government sector is now almost saturated and skill is the most needed asset for youth. He requested all the departments in the district to cooperate in terms of imparting training so that the right data can be set up in the district. The house discussed setting up a skill programme calendar for the district.
Sangnik Mitra, MGNF gave a PowerPoint presentation on the role and responsibility of the District Skill Committee, Finding Youth Aspiration Survey, Drop out along with Q&A Sessions, Challenges in various trades, Preparation for District Skill Development Plans, Skill Related Schemes, and Skill Training centres in Nagaland, Case studies and intervention to enhance skill ecosystem in Tuensang and the members discussed on the points.
