Tuensang District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang on 29th of June 2021 which was chaired by DC and vice chairman DPDB, Kumar Ramnikant.

The members discussed the approval of COVID-19 expenditure against LADP 2021 earmarked to aid CMO, District hospital and other COVID related expenditures. The house also discussed the vaccination drive in Tuensang and decided to assign all the heads of the district to go for vaccination campaigns with assigned villages. The vaccination team shall be led by HoD and the members will be from representatives of tribal hohos, church, council etc. The main objectives of the team will be to visit the villages and campaign to remove the fears regarding the vaccination. All the HoDs are to be trained by the CMO’s office before being deployed at the assigned villages.        

The agenda on creation of the Deputy Commandant Post at Tuensang and training center for VG was discussed and decided to forward to the concerned authority for approval.         Construction of 100 meter CC footsteps at anganwadi center, Yungphang sector was discussed and will be forwarded to the concerned department which will be further forwarded to Chairman, DPDB Tuensang.

The proposal for inclusion of representative of All Ward Union Tuensang Town was discussed and agreed to forward to the chairman DPDB Tuensang for consideration. The PHE department gave a presentation on the departmental activities taken up by them while the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources have been entrusted to give a presentation in the next meeting.
