The Election Department of Longleng, in collaboration with the Nagaland Sports Association and the District Administration of Longleng, organized a two-day free Football Coaching Camp for students from Yingli College and Bautung Government Higher Secondary School Longleng. This event took place on the 22nd and 23rd of September 2023 at the Public Local Ground in Longleng.

The initiative was launched under the SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) campaign of 2023. Its primary objective was to raise awareness among the youth population, with a particular focus on young voters, educating them about the electoral process and involving them in it.

The inaugural program on the 22nd of September 2023 featured Dr. Nurul Islam, Associate Professor and HOD (Edn) SVEEP, Nodal Officer of Yingli Colleges, delivering the welcome address. Imtimangyang, PGT, SVEEP Nodal Officer of Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, expressed his gratitude in the vote of thanks. Toli Yepthomi, EU coordinator, pronounced the invocation and gave a blessing for the camp. The program was chaired by Lungkube, AEO Longleng.

On the first day of the camp, students received instruction in basic football skills and tactics. On the second day, the students were divided into teams, and an exhibition match was played, allowing them to put their newly acquired skills to the test. A total of 78 students participated in the coaching camp.

In addition to the football activities, a voter registration drive was also conducted during the event. The program saw active participation from the staff of the District Administration and the Election branch of Longleng.
