The two-day Inter-School Athletic Meet, organized by Kohima District Administration in collaboration with the District Sports Office, Kohima District Athletic Association, and District Hub for the Empowerment of Women under the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" campaign, concluded on the 21st of July 2023.

Deputy Commissioner, Shanavas C, IAS encouraged all participants to strive for excellence in the field of sports during his closing ceremony speech and commended the performance of the participants during the two-day event. Around 300 female students from 33 private and government schools in Kohima participated in the event held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, promoting the "Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child" campaign, which has been introduced in Kohima District for the first time. The office of the Deputy Commissioner serves as the Nodal Agency for the campaign.
