On 14.09.2022, at around 1800 Hrs, Nagaland Police personnel of Narcotic Cell PS (PHQ), while conducting surprise MVCP at NH-2, intercepted one Guwahati bound XUV 500 (Black color) B/R No. AS01-DJ-8364, near Bridge in between Khuzama and Viswema village, which was coming from Imphal, Manipur. A thorough check of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of 15 (Fifteen Packets) containing approximately 1,50,000/- (one lakh fifty thousand) Tablets of suspected YABA(WY). Accordingly, the driver of the vehicle along with another occupant namely, (i) MD. Salman Khan (32yrs), S/o-Lt. Md. Basinhaman, R/O-Ward No-8, Kwakta Khuman, PO/PS- Kwakta, District-Bishnupur , Manipur, and (ii) Abdur Rajak (38yrs), S/o-Md. Sattar, R/O- Kshetri Bengoon, Mayai leikai, PO/PS- Kshetribangoon, District-Imphal East, Manipur, were arrested and the illegal contraband along with the vehicle duly seized. A case, vide Narcotic Cell Police Station Case No. 12/2022. U/S 22(c)/60 NDPS Act, has been registered for further investigation.
