Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar visited the Pineapple farm at Molvom Village on 26th June 2022 and complimented the farmers for the healthy practice of horticulture farming.

Informing the pineapple farmers about the availability of tractors and farming implements at subsidized rates, Tomar encouraged them to avail the centrally sponsored schemes through the State Government. He also felt the need for setting up processing units for saving post-harvest losses.

The farmers submitted a representation requesting tractors and proper road connectivity covering a stretch of 15 km to enable them to transport their produce.

Nagaland Agriculture and Cooperation Minister, G. Kaito Aye who also accompanied the Union Minister assured to provide the tractors.

Advisor Horticulture, Mhathung Yanthan, APC Nagaland, Y Kikheto Sema IAS, Horticulture Commissioner, DA& FW, Dr. Prabhat Kumar, officials from Horticulture and Agriculture Department, and several other dignitaries accompanied the Union Minister. 

The Mulsang Pineapple producers Company HQ Molvom, registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, accorded a grand welcome to the Union Minister and his entourage.
