Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Bharti Pravin Pawar visited Nagaland on 11th November 2022.

In the late evening after reaching Kohima- the State capital, a review meeting was held at Raj Bhavan Conference hall Kohima with Secretary HFW, Asangla Imti along with Principal Director, Mission Director NHM, Project Director NSACS and Officers from the Department and reviewed the functioning of Health Care Delivery system minutely.

On 12th November 2022, a video conference was organized from Raj Bhavan Conference Hall with Kiphire District which was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, CMO, Medical Superintendent, Medical Officers, and HoOs of all departments and discussed at length about the aspirational district. She also virtually inaugurated the Maternity Ward Extension at District Hospital Kiphire.

Additionally, Dr. Pawar inspected the ongoing construction site at the New Medical College, Phriebagie, Kohima, and visited UPHC Seikhazou wherein she interacted with the health workers & ASHAs.

Finally, she visited the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and had interactions with the doctors, nurses, and patients.
