Vaccination of COVID-19 for the Arms Forces of the 40th Assam Rifles, Wokha Battalion and Chukitong Out-Post was held on 15th February, 2021 at the 40th Assam Rifles, Wokha headquarters and Chukitong, PHC respectively.

            Altogether, 92 army personnel (Wokha & Chukitong) and four other frontline workers were administered the vaccine. Regimental Medical Officer 40th Assam Rifles, Dr. Robin Goyal, said that people are very apprehensive to take the injection/vaccine but he informed that it is perfectly safe where he pointed that he along with his boys had taken the vaccine without any problem, and appealed to everyone to come forward to take the vaccine.

            District Immunization Officer, Wokha, Dr. Khelito Zhimomi also informed that the second dose of COVID vaccine for the Health Care workers have started on 15th February at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital, Wokha.
