The Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU) under the Chairmanship of Mhathung Yanthan, MLA & Advisor, Horticulture and Border Affairs conducted an 'On-the-Spot Verification' of the Mini Cement Plant at Wazeho, Phek District from 28th - 30th October, 2020. The Committee inspected the Mini Cement Plant which has remained inoperative for the last 12 years causing causing loss to the State Government.

During the visit, the Committee also inspected the functioning of the Decorative & Dimensional Stone Plant (DDSP), Wazeho and visited the Mali Farm at Pfutsero, under the Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland.

Beisdes Mhathung Yanthan, the members of the Committee who undertook the Tour were R. Khing, MLA & Advisor, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Women Resources and Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, MLA. Dr. P.J. Antony, Commissioner & Secretary, NLA and other Officers from NLA and the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NSMDC) accompanied the Committee.

The Committee will report its findings to the Assembly during its next sitting.
