Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University (A Central University), Prof. Pardeshi Lal has directed for resumption of Offline Campus Academic Activities for Lumami Hqrs.
A meeting was held on 27th September 2021 with the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, all Deans of Schools, Dean of Students’ Welfare, all Heads of the Departments and all Wardens, and the following decisions were made: All members of the faculty shall be available in the Departments from 1st October; 3rd Semester students shall arrive at the campus/ hostels during 15th and 16th October; Offline classes for the 3rd Semester students would begin with effect from 18th October; Arrival of the 1st Semester students to the campus shall begin on 1st November after allotment of hostel seats; Students arriving in the campus shall possess negative test report for COVID-19 (i.e. Rapid Antigen Test done 48 hours before arrival or RT-PCR test done 72 hours before arrival); If any students develops any symptom of COVID-19 after arrival in the campus, he/she shall immediately report the matter to the Hostel Warden/ Head of the Department concerned/ Dean of Students’ Welfare; The University administration will earmark one building temporarily for isolating anyone found having COVID-19 symptoms; The University Centre would arrange preliminary health check-up of all students arriving in the campus; Thermal Scanning facility will be provided in all the academic departments; All students and faculty shall ensure mandatory compliance of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing, hand sanitising etc.); Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) issued by the Centre and the State Government from time to time shall be implemented with strict compliance.
The order directed all concerned to take necessary follow-up action accordingly.
