Launching programme of Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra was held today on 1st Dec 2023 at Wokha village local ground.

Addressing during the launching programme District Nodal Officer for Wokha district, SDO (C) Nuhuta Tunyi, said the purpose of launching this programme was to raise awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of schemes, where the main objective is for reaching the unreached and to reach out to the vulnerable who are eligible under various central sponsored schemes but have not benefited, and also to ensure 100% coverage of the various Government schemes and programmes implemented by different departments.

He also stated that during this 60 days campaign all the villages under Wokha district would be covered to sensitize the general public as to how different schemes can be availed and be benefited from various government programmes, where he urged all the public who are yet to get benefit to participate and benefit from it.

During the programme, representatives from department of Rural Development and Agriculture shared their experiences about the success of the various schemes. District Welfare Officer, Wokha James Ezung also highlighted the various schemes and programme implemented under their department.

Different implementing departments under Wokha district gave On-Spot awareness to the general public about the various schemes and projects during the launching programme.
The programme was chaired by BDO Wokha, Albert Patton, while vote of thanks was proposed by Wokha village Council Chairman, Vandan Erui.
