WALK AGAINST GENDER BASED VIOLENCE HELD AT LONGLENG

In view of 16 days of activism against Gender based Violence, a walk against violence was organised at Longleng town on 7th December 2021 by the District Administration and Mahila Shakti Kendra - District Level Centre for Women in collaboration with Phomla Hoichem (Phom apex women body).

Speaking on the day the President Phomla Hoichem, Chuimei Phom encouraged the gathering to organise such program to give platform to show our support, strength and our stand against any form of violence against women and girl child in the society. 

Brief introduction on the significance of the program was delivered by Women Pastor, Longleng Town Baptist Church, Niamla Phom.

The walk began from Lempong and culminated at Aboi junction. Women from different Churches, wards presidents, youth representatives from various organization and district administration headed by SDO civil, Longleng participated in the walk.
