Wangkhao Government College, Mon organized a two-day Cultural Sensitization, Exhibition cum Sales day on 16th and 17th September 2022 at the College Campus with District Cultural Officer, Mon as the Special Guest on the penultimate day.

The aim and objective of the event was to sensitize the students on the rich cultural traditions and heritage of their unique culture. On 16th September, a discourse on the theme was delivered by W. Wangjin, Asst Prof., Department of History who is also the Convener of the Cultural Club of the College.

The following day was marked by ‘Exhibition cum Sales Day’ launched by the DCO Mon, Peter Thanhoi Thai. The day witness different stalls filled with items prepared by the students which included traditional ethnic cuisine, mixed Indian and continental dishes combined with indigenous products of handicrafts and handlooms. The purpose of the event was to instill the uniqueness of Culture, dignity of labour, enhancing their inborn and acquired skills apart from classroom learning and above all to preserve the priceless culture and heritage from the changing tides of time.
