The Department of Water Resources bade farewell to its outgoing Chief Engineer Er. Hotovi Ayemi in a short formal programme on 17th December 2022 at the Conference Hall, Chief Engineer’s Office, Kohima.

Er. Hotovi Ayemi, first joined the Department on 1st July 1988 as an Assistant Engineer after getting through the NPSC examination and had served the department for thirty-four and half years. He was promoted to the post of Chief Engineer on 31st March 2020.

Er. Hutovi Ayemi thanked all the staff and officers of the Department for trusting his leadership and for diligently performing their duties during his entire tenure in the Department. He said that he had spent the best years of his life with the Department and had enjoyed working with all the staff and officers of the department.

Er. Razouvolie Kelio, the incoming Chief Engineer, speaking at the programme congratulated the outgoing chief engineer for having completed his tenure at the office and mentioned that many notable projects had been initiated and completed under the amenable, astute, and dynamic leadership of his predecessor Er. Hutovi Ayemi. He further wished him all the best in all his future endeavors and a very happy retired life. 

The programme concluded with Er. Hutoi Sema, S.E, WRD pronouncing the vote of thanks.
