In concurrence with Azadi Ka Amarit Mahotsav, the Department of the principal scientific Advisor (PSA), Ministry of culture, (GOI) in association with Viggvan is observing a Pan India showcase on science, technology & innovation. This festival is held in every part of our country from February 22nd to 28th February 2022. The department of science and technology Nagaland is organising for Nagaland chapter and is held at the Department of science and technology complex Kohima from 22nd February up to 28th February.

The event is jointly being organised by DST, DOS, ICMR AICTE, and DRDO. The festival is being conducted at 75 locations and in New Delhi as the centre through which 75 Lectures, 75 films, 75 radio talks, 75 science literary activities, 75 books, 75 posters, 75 awards.

Commissioner & Secretary, Science and technology, O.T Chimak IAS said the main aspiration is to inspire the youth and help them navigate and build India to be a progressive nation and also to reinforce the commitment for the scientific community towards economic and social development. He added that the aspiration of this festival is to highlight the development across the country.

The four main themes for the week-long celebration include

1.      Annals of science.

2.      Milestone of Modern Science and technology.

3.      Swadeshi Paramparik Invention & Invocation. 

4.      Transforming India. 

Altogether 16 schools from all over Kohima are attending the weeklong festival.
