Hornbill International Photo Competition organized by Eastern Art Council with support from Department of Information And Public Relations and Tourism Department was held during the Hornbill Festival 2021. The Prize distribution usually happens on the last day of Hornbill Festival but due to the unfortunate incident that happened at Mon, it was postponed. 

The prize distribution ceremony was held on 22nd December 2021. 

The prizes to the winners were given away today by L. Mongkum Jamir, President BAN , Business Association of Nagas) at Dimapur.

Following are the name of the winners:

1st Longso Yimkhing (Kiphire)

2nd Inakavi Kasho (Kohima),

3rd Parvej Akhtar (Kolkata) 

10 consolation winners:

Kenei Chadi (Dimapur), Monalisa Kar (West Bengal), Neikese Samuel Yalie (Kohima), Irangbam Momocha Singh (Manipur), Joynav Dowerah (Dibrugarh, Assam), Mezizo Swiho (Kohima), Rah (Dimapur), Benrio Humtsoe Dimapur), Imkong Aier (Medziphema) and Joynav Dowerah (Dibrugarh, Assam) viewers’ choice. 

The judges of the competition were Merimvu Doulo, Kekhriezhazomiachieo, Ayieno Kechu. The 1st prize winner got Rs. 25,000/-, 2nd prize Rs. 20,000/- and 3rd prize Rs. 15,000/-. The 10 consolation prize winners received Rs. 5,000/- each and out of which one was viewers’ choice.
