District Development co-ordination and monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for Wokha district was held with Member of Parliament (MP) Lok Sabha, Tokheho Yepthomi and MP Rajya Sabha, Phangnon Konyak was held on 20th September 2022 at DC’s conference hall, Wokha to oversee and monitor the progress of different works under centrally sponsored schemes.

During the meeting, Tokheho said there will be some changes in the fund allotment and system of functioning. He said that states are asked to release their 10% share of the schemes and projects, only then the Central government will release its remaining 90% share within 21 days. He further asked all the officials to do their assignment with sincerity and give more efforts in serving our people to make our state a developed and progressive state.

Tokheho Yepthomi, urged the Agri and allied departments to give-up the old system of implementation of schemes and projects with more dynamism as the state has lot of potential in that sector for the economic upliftment of the people. He said the allied departments need to give more focus on planning and implementation of schemes together so that there should not be debilitation of works.

MP Rajya Sabha, S. Phangnon Konyak addressing during the meeting, said the Government is introducing a lot of different schemes so that the living standard of the people improves, and the aim of the Prime Minister of India is that every person deserving should get whatever facilities the central government is giving and to achieve these a lot depends on the officers and departments overseeing the projects. She added it depends on you that everyone and every deserving citizens gets the necessary services, ensure that the different schemes and projects are implemented effectively so that the vision of our Prime Minister is fulfilled in making every person entitled to all the different facilities and encouraged all the departments and officers to continue the good work in implementing the schemes successfully for the welfare of the state.

During the meeting, Food & Civil Supplies, PWD (R&B), E.E. National Highway, District Agriculture Officer, DHO (Horticulture), DPO Land Resources, PHED and E.E Water Resources presented the central sponsored schemes implemented under their respective departments.
