Wokha District COVID-19 immunization Committee (WDCIC) conducted Dry Run for COVID-19 vaccination at District Hospital Wokha, Urban Primary Health Centre and Community Health Care Centre (CHC) Sanis on 8th January 2021.
Altogether 75 Health care workers, twenty five (25) each from the three centre participated for the dry run as the first batch beneficiaries.
Wokha District COVID-19 immunization led by ADC Wokha, K.Mhathung Tsanglao, CMO Wokha Dr. T.W. Tungoe, MS Wokha Dr.Tumchobeni, District Immunization Programmed Officer Dr.Khelito Zhemomi witness the dry run programmed along with the State Level observer Dr.Longri Kichu, UNICEF, Department of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW) and Dr.Mhecucro Mero, IDPS, DHFW.
The State Level observer while commenting on the Wokha district preparedness on vaccination expressed their confidence that the district is doing good and is fully prepared and for the success of the vaccination all the line department, NGOs and district stakeholders need to actively involve.
CMO, Wokha Dr. T.W. Tungoe said that for the success of the vaccination the district has already set up a committee and will be vaccinated phase wise, first phase Health Care Workers, second phase Frontline Workers and third phase will include vaccination of people who are 50 years and above and the last phase will be for those below the age of 50 years with co-morbidities.
