WOKHA DPDB MEETING HELD

The monthly Wokha District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on 18th February 2020 at Deputy Commissioner conference hall. Vice/Chairman & DC, Wokha Orenthung Lotha chaired the meeting.  

            Advisor Horticulture, Border Affairs and Chairman DPDB Wokha, Mhathung Yanthan in his opening remark welcomed the Director of Horticulture Dr.R. Elithung Lotha for attending the meeting as the invites of Head of Department, Yanthan also urged all the head of offices in the district to actively participate in the planning process to bring changes in the district.  

            During the meeting following agendas were discussed, proposal for registration of societies namely Spectrum Education Society and Tsungiki Gazetted Union Wokha Town were discussed and recommended to the government for approval, change of nomenclature from Perennial Montessori School to Perennial School wokha was also discussed and recommended to the higher authority for approval. 

            Advisor Horticulture, Border Affairs and Chairman DPDB Wokha Mhathung Yanthan submitted an agenda for recommendation to the State Land Acquisition Authority (SLAA) Govt. of Nagaland for payment of land compensation of Public Ground Wokha Town to the land owner. The board deliberated the matter and recommended to the government for consideration.

            Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Orenthung Lotha informed that as the district administration is under consideration for construction of new DC office complex as mini- secretariat to accommodate all the line departments, DC invited all the head of offices to apply for office room mentioning specific requirement for the proposal.

            While reviewing progress on the implementation of various development activities undertaken for the four aspiration village’s twenty three departments highlighted their activities.

            Director of Horticulture Dr.R. Elithung Lotha highlighted various developmental activities and projects undertaken by the horticulture department in the state.

            The department of Art & Culture and Nagaland State Transport presented their activities in the district during power point presentation.

            The board also welcomed the new members PD DRDA K. Shekikho Phuleshe and EAC Changpang T. Sulanthung.
