            Wokha District Task Force on COVID-19 held a meeting on 9th April 2021 at DC’s Conference Hall, Wokha. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DTF Wokha, Orenthung Lotha.

            The DC stated that the district needs reinforcement screening and registration of people coming to the district from outside the State and to conduct screening and testing for COVID-19 on all shopkeepers and businessmen.

            Chief Medical Officer, Wokha, Dr. C.W. Tungoe informed that COVID-19 testing for students pursuing studies outside the State is going on. He appealed to the District Administration and Village Council leaders to co-ordinate during surveillance of suspected Covid-19 positive cases.

            The DTF members decided that screening and registration for person entering the district will be done at Tiyi Hall. Rest House will be converted into institutional quarantine, where inmates of quarantine centre are to arrange their own transportation, and COVID care centre at District Hospital will cater to positive cases. The DTF members agreed that the latest SOP be strictly reinforced such as wearing of face mask, social distancing in public places/gathering and hand washing.
