In commemorating of 75th Anniversary of Peren Township, a ''Workshop on Electricity Usage Awareness'', programme was held on 28th April, 2022 at Peren Town Hall with Er. Kidosap SDO (Elect.) Peren and Junior Engineer, (Elect.)  Peren, Er. Solo Rengma as the resource persons.

Er. Solo Rengma who spoke on the conservation of energy mentioned that energy in simple language means, the capacity or power to do work. It can be converted in form but not created or destroyed.  He stated conventional energy sources pollute the environment by emitting harmful gases into the atmosphere, so the use of it should be cut-short in all possible ways. He added that energy needs to be conserved to preserve the resources for longer use even in the aspects of its running cost. Solo also spoke on the importance of electricity and generation of electricity and how to help conserve energy through the use of electricity.

SDO (E) & Er. Kidosap while speaking at the program said that lack of safety leads to electric shock resulting in severe injury and also death. He spoke on the safety of electricity and shared some   important points on how to prevent electricity shock and its factors which determine electric shock and importance of ground wire and how to prevent injuries and accidental death.
