A two-day workshop on “Emerging Crimes in Cyber Space: Role of Digital Forensics in Cybercrime Investigations” for Senior Police Officers of Nagaland, jointly organized by NIELIT Kohima and Nagaland Police, was held on 25th and 26th April 2022 at Conference Hall PHQ, Nagaland with Ashok Dohare, IPS, DGP (Retd). Madhya Pradesh and ASA Krishnan, Sr. Director (Retd), Meity, Govt. of India as resources persons.

Superintendent of Police (Crime) & PRO, PHQ Nagaland through a press release stated that Director General of Police, Nagaland, T. John Longkumer, IPS, exhorted the participants and welcomed the resource persons on behalf of the Nagaland Police.

The first day of the workshop included sessions on Emerging Cyber Crimes and Threats, Technical & Legal challenges in cyber space by Ashok Dohare, and sessions on IT Act, attribution of Digital Evidence & Appreciation of Digital Evidence by ASA Krishnan.

On the second day, Er. Lanuwabang, Director, NIELIT Kohima, highlighted the facilities and services offered by the NIELIT Kohima, which was followed by topics on Digital Forensic and Mobile Forensic, Cyber Security Policy by the resource persons.

Altogether, 54 senior police officers of Nagaland Police attended the workshop.
